Despite presiding over swingeing cuts to disabled people's benefits, IDS thinks that Gideon has gone too far in the budget.

Now, the cynic in me thinks that IDS will be teaming up with Boris to challenge Cameron for power. But I suppose it is possible that he does have a conscience, and recognises that cutting £30 a week from the benefits of some disabled people in order to give a tax cut to the well-off is utterly indefensible.
I am in the support group of ESA so the cuts don't apply to me - yet - but I can imagine that the cuts to the work related group is just the start.
This resignation is a massive blow for the government - Cameron's leadership is under attack.
