We're screwed, aren't we? We simply don't have, as a species, the capacity to think past the next 100 years and to overcome our base desires for more stuff, more money, more everything and hang the consequenses.
I predict very little in the way of fallout from this. Other than all the dead wildlife and wrecked eco-system, of course.
