What about marriage equality for cousins?

What about marriage equality for first cousins? Do you think they should be granted the freedom to marry or should the twenty-five US states that prohibit marriage between first cousins continue their ban. The US is pretty unique in that it prohibits first cousin marriage. Cousin marriage is apparently legal throughout most of Europe. It is also legal in Australia, Japan, Canada, and most of Latin America. Studies show that a non-related couple has about a 3% chance of having a child with birth defects, whereas first cousins have about a 6% chance. In other words, there's about a 97% chance a non-related couple will have children without birth defects, and there's about a 94% chance a first-cousin couple will have children without birth defects. Here's a link to a fact sheet from the Centre for Genetics Education which says there is about a 95 chance out of 100 (95%) that cousins will have a baby unaffected by a condition due to the parents’ faulty genes:
