Woman and family held hostage, Pizza Hut app saves the day.

A mother in Florida used the Pizza Hut smartphone app to call for help while her and her three children were held hostage at knifepoint. Alongside her order of a pepperoni pizza, Cheryl Treadway included special instructions to call 911. Treadway’s boyfriend, Ethan Nickerson, reportedly held her hostage while he sharpened a large knife after the couple had been arguing all day. Knowing she wouldn’t be able to use the phone to make a call or send a message, Treadway convinced Nickerson to let her order a pizza instead. With her order, Treadway included a message that read, “Please help. Get 911 to me.”
