The argument is that stuff involving vilification, like the recent incident with the comet probe scientist may not be the right way to go about feminism and that they may be toxic instead of helpful. And this is a feminist, apparently, who is saying this. They mention about the need to instead focus on institutions and culture (at least insitutitional culture), a point I made in the thread on the comet scientist incident, instead of vilifying individuals. It makes sense from a logical point of view, too: if you say that "sexism" is "prejudice backed by institutional power", then it would seem that one would need to target the institutions with the institutional power, and the culture which conditions them.
What do you think?
