How do you make a bleepin youtube "video" (even if it's just music)?

Googling this has proven incredibly frustrating - they seem to be all about "how to upload" and not "how to create." I just want to upload music but you HAVE to have some kind of "visual" about it - anyone? Can I do this w/o installing some extra software BS?
