I have no idea if this belongs in Education, Social Issues, Religion, or somewhere else. Mods, move as desired.
The Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) just voted to accept the proposed science textbooks, with the publishers not caving in to requests to water down anything to do with evolution or climate change. Huzzah, much dancing, etc. Until the next time when the creationists try again.
Eclectic Skeptic was on the physics standards review committee, so we could not say anything about the entire experience until the final vote was in. If you have any questions about the process or what she saw, I will pass them on and report back. She does not browse the forum much as she works for a living, unlike.... me.
