Does anyone have any recent figures for the embodied energy in the manufacture and transport of the latest generaton of PV panels/ cells/ arrays?
A couple of years ago I did a complex analysis for a client using a combination of a manufacturer's own figures, and some figures from a test carried out in Sydney (I think), which showed that a specific proposed array in the SE of England had an energy pay-back period of over 19 years. I'd like to do better than this, as I'd like to be able to give up to date advice to my clients.
I'm not interested in the economics.....just the energy equation.
Thanks
Mike
