BBC News: 'I brushed past her ... then was charged with sex attack'
"In December 2014, Mark Pearson was walking through Waterloo Underground station when he passed, and may have brushed against, a woman who turned out to be a well-known actress.
She accused him of a serious sexual assault and of hitting her on the shoulder, with the case going to trial.
There were no witnesses and was no forensic evidence. It took the jury 90 minutes to acquit him."
She claims he penetrated her (through yoga pants) for 2-3 seconds. The CCTV shows that he walked part her, with a newspaper in his left hand (thne one she said he used), and his right hand on his bag strap, for around half a second. When presented in court, the prosecution had slowed the footage to half its speed, to extend the "window" to a full second!
I should point out that in that part of the station - a wide ground-level concourse, not actually underground - anybody who stops walking or even slows down to do anything is likely to have a load of people crash into the back of them immediately.
