Folks,
I'm considering a project that would run on a "vintage personal computer" constructed from modern components. It doesn't have to be compatible with any computer in particular. The idea is to have an environment similar to a Commodore 64 or Kaypro IV, but using contemporary, replaceable parts. I'm going to write all the software myself, so no OS is required.
A possible processor might be the Raspberry Pi Zero, although something simpler would be fine. Even an 8-bit processor would work. An old-fashioned 80 x 24 monitor is good, along with a basic keyboard. 3.5" floppies would be fun, although I imagine a couple of microSD cards make more sense. It would need to have a USB port for downloading software.
Can anyone here build such a thing for me?
