So a few years back I heard of a really good book, and bought it. Then, before I read it, the opportunity arose to give it as a gift to my nephew. Which I did.
Now, I can't remember the title or author of the book.
All I can remember is that the author was European (I think), the book was thick, it was hardback, it combined both words and illustrations, the words were thoughtful, the illustrations were intricate and informative, and though the book was nominally for children the reviewer promised it would delight adults as well.
Can anyone tell me the title or author of this book?
