Although a long-time lapsed snapper, the indoctrination still holds.
Today... a couple of older ladies asked me to take their picture at the end of their bike ride. I did.
A child living across the street was trying to collect the mail for her next-door neighbor, but couldn't get the mailbox to open. I showed her how to just ease the key in, not press it in all the way.. box snicked open.
I didn't have to call in the 4-way blinking red light at the major intersection just outside that had been blinking for 3 hours.. I'd made it through OK. But I did.
I didn't have to print up 8x10s of the local snakes for the community manager to show to parents and kids what to expect. I don't have any kids that will be bitten.
I didn't have to block the road after a drunk driver rammed the car ahead of me, ejecting the driver of that one, who was sitting on the street dazed and confused, with a major tear in his scalp resulting in a big flap of skin hanging over his eyes. I blocked the road, and bound up the flap of skin so he could see, and when the cops showed up, pointed out the drunk who'd caused the accident.
MYOB just isn't what I do!
