I'm tired of looking evil-by-association to my friends in other countries, other cultures, and other religions because I don't have the mental energy to denounce this constant stream of ********* every time another terrifying news turd is squeezed out of its abnormally large butthole.

There's a lot more he's tired of too.

R.E.M. Sleep Behavioral Disorder(RBD). I have it and it sucks.

RBD Link Here is not a common thing to be diagnosed with. It mainly affects males above the age of 50(which I am) and sucks for both the patient and anyone who might be sleeping in the bed with the patient.

The symptoms are just as described in the link, and I have them 4 to 5 times per week. Just last night I hopped out of bed and swung a full left hook into the wall(nothing broken). More common is talking coherently and swinging my arms or kicking my legs. These actions always revolve around my dream; each dream is different but contains the same premise. I am always defending myself or a loved one from imminent attack, and must respond physically.

What is ironic is that in my real life I have never attacked or hit anybody EVER, yet my dreams always involve just that. Treatment is not working for me(yet), and worse is that a large percentage of Parkinson sufferers have or had RBD, as well as ALS and Alzheimer patients.

Has anyone heard of this or been diagnosed with it? Or a sleeping partner that has it?

Moon Occults Aldebaran - Saturday Evening March 4

The nearly Half Moon will occult (cover) the magnitude +0.9 star Aldebaran for North American observers during the evening of Saturday 2017 MAR 04. As with solar eclipses, occultations are limited to specific zones on Earth.

Aldebaran is one of four first magnitude stars that can be occulted. The current series of 49 Aldebaran occultations commenced on 2015 JAN 29 and will conclude on 2018 SEP 02. The following series will commence on 2033 AUG 18.

Immersion this time will occur on the lunar dark limb and emersion on the bright limb. An observer on a graze path will witness the star winking on and off as lunar hills and valleys pass by. Anyone between the graze paths will see a full occultation.

Did God ever say that Jesus is his Son?

Hello all.

The other day, I promised to give ‘The Big Dog’ $20.00 if he can find me even one passage in the Bible where God says that Jesus is his son.

He responded with a quote from Matthew 3:17 which states:

As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water. Suddenly the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and resting on Him. And a voice from heaven, or voice from a cloud, or a voice of Majestic Glory, or a voice from the sky (depending upon the translation) said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!”

Which is a very interesting quote since no matter what translation is used, it always avoids saying that it was the voice in question was the voice of God itself, therefore it does not meet the standards that I have set. After all, considering that it was always clear in other sections of the Bible when God was talking “do not eat the from this tree”, “build an ark of gopherwood”, do not look at the destruction of these two cities, God said thus and so to Moses, and so on, then one should expect similar clarity from the Bible regarding the patronage of Jesus.

As for myself, I have looked through the Bible for such data for a number of years to find anywhere where God claims that Jesus is his son, and I have been unable to find any such data. Additionally, I have asked several people who know the Bible quite well and who are, or at least who used to be, devout Christians, and I still have not been able to find such data.

Anyway, if someone here on the Forum can help me to determine this data, then I just may be able to settle this issue with ‘The Big Dog’.

Low dose Stimulation?

One issue came to my mind recently and want to present here for better understanding:

Due to evolution & modernizations, we do get various new and odd exposures due to which we may get( evolved, adapt or acquire) various inhibitory effects to our original/normal physiological activities to those odd exposures. Those may be by. adaptations, resistances, tolerances, dependences, addictions, insensitivities etc. Some of these should have some positive effects for survival other negative. I am not sure how all these can affect our basic health in absolute term--weaken or improve.

My confusion/question is:

Will any low dose stimulation (or reversal) of inhibited physiological activities not be harmful to inhibited physiological activities for positive purposes and beneficial to inhibited physiological activities for negative purposes?

{Request: Please do not make any issue about low dose or ineffective dose or even no dose whatsoever for the purpose of this topic)

Finland to adopt gender neutral marriage laws tomorrow

About time, I say.

Tomorrow, the law allowing gay marriages, on par with heterosexual marriages, will come to effect. Predictably, some religious communities are getting their panties in a twist about it.

It is interesting that religion is such a big issue in the US, where you have separation of church and state, and has become stale and mostly a non issue in Finland, where we have religious freedom, but a state church (Lutheran). About half of Finns don't believe in a god, though the majority is still on the churches books, more out of tradition and habit, and not really giving enough of a a s*ht to officially quit it.

The usually milktoast church is now experiencing some internal strife about the issue of marrying gays - officially, they do not allow the marriage of gays in churches, but many priests are going rogue, planning to do it anyway. Get out your popcorn, we have drama, people. :D

I also recently heard some happy news from my sister, who is now planning to marry her partner about a year from now, in the summer of 2018 (this year they are just too busy, and they want a big wedding). I'm happy for her, that this is now an option, and I really like her partner too - she's very nice, and they are a good fit. :)

Buzzfeed Article: 16 Bat**** Space Conspiracy Theories

Came across this article just this morning. There are, of course, the well-known ones (moon landing faked, Black Knight Satellite, lost cosmonauts, etc); but some were pretty new to me. I was curious who had heard of some of the lesser known ones in the article and what is generally thought of them in the space conspiracy debunking community? I literally know almost nothing about the majority of these; anyone got any good resources besides the links in the article where I can familiarize myself with them?
