The Problem with Higgs

I see that the most recent prior thread on the Higgs particle dates from 2018 so maybe it is time to see what's been going on recently.

I've read this article twice and am just about following it but I gather it appears that there is a problem with Higgs. It's just too light.

Progress is being made (maybe) but

Any inspired guesses as to where the current research is leading? Is there a breakthrough coming or are we all completely lost? Maybe it really is turtles all the way down and there is no resolution?

Be prepared to step into the world of IR and UV scale decoupling, Nnaturalness, and EFT.

I guess TOE is still a dream. :(
