When I was a small child being raised by my ultra-Christian grandmother I had a sense of supernatural awe that filled my life with fairies, gods, angels, demons and an overall sense of mystical wonder that I have mixed feelings about to this day.
Around age twelve the wonder began to fade. Prayer didn't cure asthma attacks. It didn't cure spinal scoliosis and by age twenty my opinion of magic, religion, and hocus pocus nonsense faded into nothing and I became an atheist. Science filled the gaps better than the bible and goodbye t the mystical.
So when did you lose it?
