I came across this article on the Ontario debt. With the head line.
With twice the debt of California, Ontario is now the worlds most indebted sub-sovereign borrower
The article is about 6 months old.
I'm not starting this thread to bash the liberal government, though I don't like them. I want to know if it is true. Is Ontario really most indebted sub-sovereign borrower? If so, isn't this really, really bad? I'm from Nova Scotia, where I think things are really, really bad. Alberta is looking pretty bad right now. But I was really shocked at the level of debt in Ontario.
Anyway, anyone have any thoughts? How will this play out?
