So... A mainstay of the CT world is that "They" being the government, or other agencies, have technology in advance of the rest of us.
Most often this is wishful thinking: Photographs or films of an event may not show any signs of being manipulated, but They have superior technology, so who can say how clever their special effects may be. Sure it looks like a politician died of natural causes, but who can say what weapons They might have...
So I was thinking... And yes this is the self published writer in me daydreaming rather than the sceptic thinking... But how far in advanced should we expect a major military power to be?
So, let's take the JFK CTs as an example. Assuming somebody had a theory, and wanted to look for evidence for the theory, but it relied on some Macguffin that was not known of in the sixties, how far in advanced would you be tempted to consider it possible (not plausible or likely) that some government agent had a gadget kept secret from the world at large?
Would you give any credence to a theory that relied on technology from the seventies? From the millenium? Something theoretically possible now, but not in use?
I have the feeling that the advance on military or spy tech is a lot more modest. Maybe five years or so... I know in reality a conspiracy that relies on the shooter at the grassy knoll having an iphone and depleted uranium bullets will be trashed... But how far could you stretch your scope?
