A coworker of mine went into the ER late last week for cellulitis on his leg. They gave him a shot and pills and sent him home.
By Monday he was in pain and blisters were forming on his calf and they admitted him.
Today I find out that they have him on Methicillin, and it doesn't seem to be responding.
Aputation is next.
Wow.
We really need to invest some billions in new antibiotics and in phages before we spend one more dime on warships and fighters.
