The post is so brief it's hard to excerpt:
"TheLocal.de reports: “On Thursday . . . the High Court in North Rhine-Westphalia upheld a ruling from a lower court that ordered [Martin] Budich to pay a €100 fine” for organizing a public viewing of “Life of Brian” on Good Friday. “Showing the film was a deliberate act of rebellion against the ‘holiday laws’ which every German state has, and which prevent people from partying — or showing films that are not approved by the state — on religious holidays.”"

It's not a huge fine, it's not a criminal prosecution of a comedian for insulting Turkey's leader, but still...I might not like certain films (I do like Life of Brian and regularly watch it sometime around Easter, and I'm pretty devout!) or might consider it impolite or aggressive to show certain films at certain times, but for the government to punish people for showing unapproved films?!
And more generally, you're forbidden from partying or showing non-government approved films?
