The Science Channel took time away from "How its made" to show something sort of scientific. The series is called "What on Earth" or similar and it takes satellite images from Google Earth to show anomalies. They sometimes visit sites such as South Africa to investigate.
Today they presented images of the heartland U.S. during the corn growing season at night showing a faint light coming from the fields . It showed the whole midwest and Rocky Mountain area lit up. They stated that corn crops provide more oxygen than the Rain Forests of the Amazon. Startled me as I had not heard this before. Has anyone heard of this? Thanks.
