The last message from Robert Bennett, former Republican member of the US Senate (until ousted by the Utah Tea Party for being insufficiently insane) and (since 04MAY) former human, was an apology for Donald Trump and the actions of the Republican party in supporting him.
According to his son, who says his father was "sharp as a tack" and not delusional while dying in George Washington University Hospital (pancreatic cancer and stroke), Bennett asked "Are there any Muslims in the hospital? I'd love to go up to every single one of them to thank them for being in this country, and apologize to them on behalf of the Republican Party for Donald Trump".
Back in December Bennett had spoken to people wearing hijabs at an airport, telling them "he was glad they were in America" and that "He wanted to apologize on behalf of the Republican Party", according to his widow.
