Hey! I just bought an M3D machine and it arrives tomorrow. I figured we ought to have a topic on here for general discussion of the devices (all makes) and the technology.
So here it is.
Anybody else have a machine?
I've been following this since stereolithography appeared in the 1980s and have been waiting for it to get to a point where I could own a machine and start making real things, and that has happened. I know that the M3D is not likely to be my platform for more than a year or so while I am learning stuff; I want a larger print volume and a triple extruder eventually. And a faster machine as well.
Another thing I am going to begin exploring is 3D scanning. I am hoping to put something together with a phono turntable and my Nikon to produce 3D scans. Just starting out on this by looking at existing software.
