It seems that after loosening food safety restrictions on the sale of unpasteurised milk a number of politicians from West Virginia drank some, provided by one of their own.
The result was a well deserved round of vomiting, fever, and diarrhea.
Now the man behind the sampling, one Scott Cadle, insists the illness was coincidental, despite afflicting those who drank and only them. He maintains that it was a stomach bug already passing around the afflicted his fellow lawmakers.
The state Bureau of Public Health is investigating.
