Have you or has anyone you know been involved in a shooting incident?

Simple question. Have you, or has anyone you personally know, been involved in a shooting incident?

I suppose this is the part where we have to get into definitions.

By "anyone you personally know" I mean a reasonably close friend or relative - someone you have spent time with. Not a casual acquaintance or distant cousin.

By "involved" I mean in the vicinity of - close enough that you could directly see the shooter.

By "shooting incident" I mean something not at a gun range or while hunting, or organised sport shooting. I mean an uncontrolled situation "in the wild" as it were where someone discharges a gun. I also mean a situation where a gun is actually discharged, as opposed to being brandished without being discharged.

I have allowed for five responses - either have or have not been involved in a shooting incident, and whether you are an American or not. By "American" I mean a citizen of the United States of America. And Planet X because I don't believe in polls without a Planet X.

My intent with this poll is to gauge the frequency with which Americans are involved in shooting incidents as opposed to everyone else.
