The refugeecrisis and global warming are huge opportunities to think globally.
These are problems for every person on this planet. We are in the same boat now.
It's 'we all on this planet' instead of 'we and them'. It's our problem, of us, people of the world.
We are one global commune and must not think anymore in terms of nations. That's something wich will belong to the past. We are one planet now. We must unite and work together to help each other to survive as a human race on planet Earth.
The crises in this world (global warming, refugee crisis, etc.) are an opportunity to unite, to come together and solve our problems as brothers and sisters of the world. Nations will disapeare. The lines on the map will have to vanish.
The emotional reflex is more nationalism. The rational answer is more globalism. One united world. One worldcommunity instead of divited in nations.
Capitalism is about egoïsm (Ayn Rand et all) and competition. Forming a commune as as global human race, sitting in the same boat (planet Earth) and working together, using capitalism as an instrument but not as goal in itself, that's what we must do as a human race.
The only ethical thing you can do during the refugee crisis is: to live less luxerious and share with someone who has (almost) nothing. Share your home, which is too big for you, your car, etc. with someone who has nothing.
That's what a person with some basic moral standards would do, when he is in the same boat with another person who lost everything.
That's the attitude we must have towards refugees and poor people all over the world. We must share with others to survive as one human race. That's humanism.
