A number of wireless companies sell devices that plug in a standard rotary
phone with an RJ-11 jack. (The more advanced models offer ethernet ports
allowing internet connections for computers, but no competitive plans that
offers $5.00 for 15 Gigabytes worth of data. Maybe when 5G comes out,
I'll leave dial-up behind.) The best price I've seen is $15.00 for unlimited
use of the phone on Verizon's HD voice network through Straight Talk.
I'll admit, I really like the ability to use touch tone. (The managers at United
Telephone don't turn it on becuase it's an unproven technology.) But what I'm
looking for is a better than a blue tooth solution where I can get on the $20.00
plan offered by Ringplus, at random times in the year, that has 2000 minutes,
texts, and megabytes. Does anyone know where I can find such a device?
