I've always been intrigued by the ineffectiveness of prayer. People pray for something and it doesn't happen but the believers keep touting how wonderful it is.
As a small asthmatic child I often prayed for the asthma to go away and it didn't happen. Its difficult to have faith when there is no evidence.
I found out that when I would have these spells my mother would pray so even if I personally lacked faith I have to assume she did.
Prayer works if you have faith? No it doesn't.
Anton Lavey in his Satanic biblle said that prayer actually makes things worse. He's right but heres the problem.
The physic decompression chamber doesn't work either.
