Is this for insurance money?

This seems to be getting some coverage. Basically, a woman is suing her (now) 12 year old nephew for negligently breaking her wrist (by jumping into her arms). On the surface it seems like a case of :jaw-dropp, but I am thinking that this is more a case of how-to-get-insurance-to-pay-for-my-injuries. Does anyone know if that is likely to be correct or not?
