Okay, so given that we have had the debate about Pollock, and given that my own world-famous opinion is that abstract art should be thought of in a similar way to music, what about those weird kinds of music that we sometimes hear?
Should these things be looked upon as just very bad music or should we appreciate the fact that this kind of thing is art?
Now, I for one, think it is art whatever t'critics say, although I understand that some music is tough art to swallow.
In this thread, let's post some challenging examples of the genre, and NOT, please, "jokey" posts about Michael Bolton and Kenny G etc...

I will lead off with an example of something that Gawdzilla Sama posted. Namely a bit of Pink Floyd:
Which reminded me of a band called Radiohead:
Which then, strangely enough, reminded me of Penderecki's Polymorphia, which has this creepy video:
And then, of course, I thought of people such as John Cage whose music is well... listen for yourself:
Yet, classical music is not the only genre that has managed to go down this path. There is also rock versions such as this band called Swans:
And electronic music such as ambient has often been on the far reaches of music from Brian Eno to his more modern "imitators" such as Aphex Twin. Here's an example of the latter's work, known as Selected Ambient Works Volume 2:
This is an album which many people thought had gone too far after a fairly danceable first volume which included:
Which was then used by a South African mainstream band called Die Antwoord to make this NSFW video:
So, what do you think?
Can we say this stuff which we may not like to listen to is not music?
Please post examples of your own "weird" music...
