APD "Good Cop" wants his job back.

In the video from 2011, you can see APD Good Cop Woolever holding the suspect on the ground while APD Bad Cop Doyle repeatedly kicks the suspect in the head.

The Good Cop was later fired:
[quote]APD said Woolever was fired because he did not stop Doyle from using what officials thought was excessive force, and because his police report made no mention of Doyle's repeated kicks./[quote]

Now they are both fighting the city personnel board to get their jobs back. Their attorney has a different take on the entire situation:

Quote:

"If his termination is upheld ... what we're telling to cops is, 'You know what, go ahead let the bad guys run, don't chase them,'" said Grover. "Officers report what they did, other officers see and report what they did."
I'm not sure if the attorney legitimately believes the only way to chase a suspect involves kicking him in the head repeatedly after catching him, or if he's just making a ridiculous argument in the hopes that a few idiots will believe him.
