Arizona State Senate Passes Bill Rejecting Federal Gun Control Laws

Arizona State Senate Passes Bill Rejecting Federal Gun Control Laws

Interesting.

Quote:

The Arizona State Senate gave the green light to SB 1330, better known as “The Second Amendment Preservation Act.” The bill “is a simple yet powerful tool to nullify federal gun ‘laws,’ rules and regulations by withdrawing state enforcement and support for these federal acts,” as described by the Tenth Amendment Center. “The legislation is drafted so as to be introduced and passed as a step-by-step approach, with each step building on the last until all federal gun control is rendered unenforceable and effectively null and void in the state.”

The Arizona Republic pointed out that, while SB 1330 was approved by the state Senate in a voice vote, a full roll call vote is required to approve the measure. It would then go to the state House of Representatives before it arrives on the desk of Gov. Doug Ducey (R), who was sworn in earlier this year.

Am I to understand that any federal gun laws the state doesn't like would then be unenforceable?

Ranb and others; what's your take on this?
