The Roads are Impassible

Please excuse the doggerel but...

The roads are impassible

streets all swolen impassible

the whole city is impassible

the subways are people jammed

they too are impassible

Friday's rush hours brought blood muck

an overturned tractor trailer stuck

and on fire tanker flames unheeds

as all the vehicles near burn like weeds

somewhere ahead it fares

with the cones and flares

here I'm all broken hearted as our

a half hour trip became 4 hour

even my thoughts are impassible

as my guage shows imperceptible

Oh well tomorrow it will be fine

but then I am on vacation time...
