OK, I don't think any of it is a surprise. However, I suspect the biggest objection will be the assumption that being less susceptible to racism and being less vengeful, nationalistic, militaristic and authoritarian and more tolerant means better. I mean, hey, they are more accepting of gay people? We can't call that better, can we? Yeah, I would, but that's because I'm one of those evil non-religion people.
Also, I don't think everyone would agree that not considering bible characters to be real people is necessarily a virtue, either. What do you mean that David didn't actually slay a giant named Goliath?
