Thank you all for convincing me that hearing footstep like sounds in the mine was not as strange as we thought.
I have not had many odd things I can't explain (well 3 in fact), but here is the second.
When I was in my early teens a dream woke me up. It seemed very important at the time. It seemed frightening but I could not pinpoint why.
The dream consisted of:-
All my family were in my fathers car going out for a Sunday Drive, we approached where the road from Totnes reaches the A38. A carnival truck was in front of us. It turned onto the A38 toward Exeter just ahead of us. My sister who was about 6 said that the notice had fallen off the float. I looked and it hadn't. At the next turning we turned off toward Widecombe and the truck continued along the A38.
For some reason that seemed really scary.
Next morning it still seemed important still so I told Mum and Dad who were most unimpressed. They could not see why I thought it was not just an ordinary dream.
Later that day we went out for a drive. When we approached the A38 a carnival float appeared in front of us. All the rest of the sequence followed exactly. When we turned off toward Widicombe Mum was white as a sheet with fear and Dad had to stop driving for a while, because we were all so scared of the exact sequence I had described earlier actually occurring.
My two sisters had no idea what had happened.
Can anyone give me any possible explanations for this event?
