cruciate ligaments in dogs

Seven weeks ago, super Sam had cruciate ligament surgery, which seems to be going very well so far. However, he is now very lame on his bad side, can anyone tell me do dogs have the same ligament in their front legs?

Doubt I can do another 2,000 worth of surgery....fingers crossed...
