Are skeptics frightened by horror movies?

There seems to be a continuum of people's reactions to horror movies, with "badly frightened by most of them" at one end, and "virtually never frightened by any of them" at the other. I am rather far toward the latter end of the spectrum. And I've wondered lately if this is a trait that most skeptics share, because in order to be frightened by something, you have to at least entertain the possibility that it might be real.

Note that I'm making a distinction between being frightened and being startled; I can be just as easily startled as anyone when something jumps out unexpectedly on the screen, but that's a momentary reaction. Also I can be grossed out or made generally uncomfortable by scenes of nasty and unpleasant things happening. But I'm talking about being actually scared, in a way that lasts for more than a few seconds, possibly even after the movie is over.

Apparently there are people who react that way to some scary movies. I say "apparently" because the concept is completely foreign to me. As someone who doesn't believe in ghosts, demons, monsters or UFOs, and who understands that my chances of being killed by a psychotic maniac are vanishingly tiny, I'm not even slightly disturbed by depictions of these things in films.

So I'm wondering if that's just me, or if that's common among people who don't believe in the kinds of things that horror movies tend to depict?
