Ah, I remember well the innocent days of my youth when I would wake up this day and find sugary snacks all over the house and the yard. Nowadays, I find myself even unable to get such things by the normal means on this day -- by buying them -- since no shop of any sort is open in at least a 25 mile radius. I suppose I shall have to resort to my usual three gallons of coffee and some microwaved burritos.
An egg hiding rabbit to me seems much more believable than that other story you hear getting passed around on this day. When I look at that other story I see nothing whatsoever in it that makes any sense at all. Some claim that it is the most important event that ever happened on this planet, and I can't help but wonder how high exactly you have to be to accept it as so. I suppose we all know it, so there's no point in going into details.
Anyway, happy spring equinox holiday, everyone... whatever silly folklore you like to cling to. I highly recommend the traditional endorphin high. The wacky stories aren't even necessary for that bit. The sugar high is slightly more optional.
