I don't generally post in this department, but this week represents the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and I thought it appropriate to mark the occasion.
I was only a teenager then, but it seems like just yesterday that my older sister was writing me letters from jail.
Sometimes things do get a little bit better.
