Alfvén predicted the CMB B-mode polarization signal, in the 1950s!

The thread title exaggerates somewhat; the actual claim is "Synchrotron radiation is 100 percent of the contribution", where "the contribution" refers to "the contribution to the power spectrum of the B-field" (in the CMB, per BICEP2). Alfvén? It's not a straight-forward claim, but slips in between the bluster; for example "the polarized photons that Alfven himself predicted to exist around every heavy object in the universe in 1950, which was later confirmed in 1956".

Who made this remarkable discovery? None other than Michael Mozina himself! He reports it in this thread (from the 'official' EU/PC forum), which is linked to a long thread in Christian Forums (the strongest case is made from about page 12 onward).

That's from p12 of that long thread; needless to say, despite being asked several times to cite just such a paper, MM has been uncharacteristically silent.

The Christian Forums thread is fascinating (YMMV, of course); so much burning outrage, so much unshakable certainty, built on such a tenuous understanding of physics and mathematics ...
