The contract on our "dumb" flip phones finally expired, and we decided to go with the upgrade to a pair of Apple iPhones, the 4S.
I'm quite familiar with IOS devices, with an iPod and a iPad both, but the wife is a newbie.
I felt that the IOS would be easier for her than the non-user-friendly features on the flip-phones.
So far, so good.
One annoyance is the constant "alert" or "notification" tones. I have tried diligently to remove these, going through the list of APPS and checking the "NONE" box... But I haven't got 'em all.
This is apparently a common problem, the Apple forums are full of complaints. Some say it's Facebook... Some say it's Apple.
