New Refugee Caravan

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/insulin...e-us-diabetes/

Drug price refugees are heading to canada, what will the government to do stop this as such refugee caravans are a well documented threat that the countries they are happening in need to stop. Ice needs to be fully marshalled against them and open up new concentration camps. And on the plus side they won't even need to keep them very long as the lack of insulin will get rid of them quickly, though this will limit investment bankers ability to profit from them.

Equal in dignity?

From the declaration of human rights:

"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood."

Many atheists wants proof that there is a God. But what is the proof that we are born equal in dignity and rights?
For me it seems like there are no logically valid proofs.

The Pentecostal Phenomena.

Most of the more conventional flavours of Christianity are in decline in the West, although the Pentecostals seem to be bucking the trend. It would seem they are drawing numbers from those leaving the other denominations. Why so?

Have a look at the following extract from a Hillsong service:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7jXASBWwwI

It's a concert!

Is it any wonder these guys are doing so well at the expense of the other denominations. The worshipers get to listen to well presented music and whoop it up, as well as being saved! Just no contest from the Catholics and Anglos.

EU Summit: 'Timmermanns is a dangerous fanatic'

So says Nigel Farage:

Quote:

Theresa May must not back @TimmermansEU as the next European Commission president, he is a dangerous fanatic.
Theresa May it is reported stayed up until 3:00am yesterday to cast the deciding vote in the EU Parliament vote for its next leader.

She has said she will vote for whoever has the majority at that stage. Alas, after 20 hours of wrangling it had to be postponed until Tuesday.

Timmermanns, a Dutchman, represents the Centre-Left. Merkel wants Weber as representing the Centre-Right EPP. The right wing blocs of Hungary, Romania and Italy, etc., are totally opposed to the favourite, Timmermanns.

Will the EU Summit compromise by selecting someone like the Danish Vestager instead. The right wingers will probably like that despite her being a left winger because of her strong anti-immigrant stance.

Who do you think will win it or should win it, and why?

Jehovah Witness literature I wish I had kept

The one I wish I had the most was a pamphlet called "They chose God" Here it compliments two pretty girls and a handsome boy for dying rather than taking a blood transfusion. Inside it says that Jehovah doesn't want humans to drink blood so it stands to reason that blood should not be ingested in any way shape or form.

The other one was "Your choice, Evolution or Genesis" This one tried to convince its readers that evolution was not only wrong but responsible for all of humanities atrocities including the Nazi persecution of Jews and other minorities. Reading more into the literature it explains how God made all living things at the same time and it was only mankind's fall in the Garden of Eden that caused the extinctions.

An honorable mention should be given to the pamphlet that describes in full-color illustration of the garden of Eden complete with a scary walking talking snake. Ugly fellow that God in his wisdom allowed to walk and talk freely among the humans living in said garden.

I have one that says "Will we ever feel safe and secure?" Their answer is no unless you accept their religion and wait for the restored earth paradise.

Would a warmed up Mars actually have too much water?

There has been discovered two large water ice masses that have at least as much water as the Great Lakes. Would warming the planet up and melting the water cause the water to cover too much land mass for humans to live there?

Facebook Civil Rights Audit

Facebook "aim to build a culture that explicitly protects and promotes civil rights on Facebook."

Here's the second update from their Civil Rights Audit.

https://newsroom.fb.com/news/2019/06...-rights-audit/

Quote:

Today’s report recommends we go further to include content that supports white nationalist ideology even if the terms “white nationalism” and “white separatism” aren’t explicitly used. We’re addressing this by identifying hate slogans and symbols connected to white nationalism and white separatism to better enforce our policy.

We also recently updated our policies so Facebook isn’t used to organize events that intimidate or harass people based on their race, religion, or other parts of their identity.
They now ban posts from people who intend to bring weapons anywhere to intimidate or harass others, or who encourage people to do the same.

There are updates to prevent discrimination in targeted US housing, employment and credit ads.

They're going to treat next year’s US census like an election — with people, policies and technology in place to protect against census interference and misinformation, and working to ban ads that discourage people from voting.

They will work with voting rights experts to make sure key members of their election team are trained on trends in voter intimidation and suppression so they can remove this content from Facebook more effectively.

I've posted several times about changes Facebook keep making to keep their business profitable.

I've somehow taken on this job because I find it far more interesting than saying "Facebook is ****" and not thinking much further about it.

I'm finding it refreshing to see how improving equality and truth seem to also be profitable.

While Facebook lost a few million users in the US (perhaps due to a current national negativity), it was gaining those numbers back in emerging economies.
