Responsible Pastor pastor shoots granddaughter

Rochester pastor shoots granddaughter, mistaken for intruder

Quote:

Rochester police say a grandfather shot and critically wounded his teenage granddaughter after mistaking her for an intruder.

Authorities say he and his wife were asleep when they awoke to a noise outside about 11 p.m. Monday. The man grabbed his handgun and told his wife to call police as he went to investigate.

Capt. Brian Winters says the grandfather saw a figure at the back door and fired at least two shots. The figure was actually the man's 16-year-old granddaughter, who he thought was already inside the house.

Last year's article, but a great example of a successful defensive gun use!

The WAR on Christmas

thanks to Don Lacey for stepping up and doing what I think is a terrific post on the "war" on Christmas. Any other good suggestions for articles on this? I'm having relatives send me those "omg, have you read THIS?" type fundie articles.

Don did a great one, but I could use even more to annoy the relatives back.

5 year old shoots himself, no charges yet for parents

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewir...f-with-handgun

So, resisting the lure of the "responsible gun owner" meme, I have been saying that any gun owner whose gun gets picked up by a minor and results in injury or death should get a minimum of 15 years in prison. This would result in people locking up their guns much more consistently.

What should the punishment be for this family?

Popping the Biggest Bubble yet? Bitcoin to $150 in three, two, one.........

OK, had to do it, it's through both of my support levels now.

Post your guesses as to how low it can go. I am on record for $150 but it may only get to $500. Anyway, right now, it's pretty horrible for bitcoin holders.

This chart shows $900 but currently, it's at $866.

Gift us with December Stundie Nominations

Guidelines for what is a good Stundie nominee:

1) Posts must be funny.

2) Posts must exhibit ignorance, faulty logic or stupendous arrogance mixed with an ironic mistake.

3) No spelling errors, typos, grammar issues or math mix-ups unless they are deliciously ironic.

4) Posts should not just be something you disagree with.

5) All nominated posts must have some sort of link or screenshot to prove the reality of the post and its source.

6) Keep the introductions short and sweet as Stundies should not need too much background.

7) Nominated posts should be cut down to the nominated part which should be concise and stand on its own.

8) This is not the place for ad hominems so a post should be funny independent of knowing who it is that said it.

9) Pictures are not generally allowed on their own but descriptions of pictures, provided they meet all other previously stated requirements, are allowed.

10) Videos are not allowed on their own but transcripts of videos, provided they meet all other previously stated requirements, are allowed even if you personally did the transcribing.

11) Please no more nominations about the Hallmark Channel-Burlesque conspiracy.

12) Please more pictures relating to the Hallmark Channel-Burlesque conspiracy.

Some successful gun uses...GUNS FTW!!!

Responsible gun owner shoots himself outside a Lowe's Home Improvement store

Because I always pack whenever I need to go get some paint and caulk. You know, in case roving gangs attack and try to rape and kill my wife in the plumbing isle.

Quote:

Eastern Idaho authorities say a man accidentally shot himself Saturday morning outside a Lowe's home improvement in Pocatello.

Authorities tell the Idaho State Journal the man returned to his vehicle after shopping and was placing his handgun into a holster when it fired.

Here's a heart-warming tale of a teen accidentally shooting another teen. Why? Well it appears the gun wasn't secured. Imagine that. If only there were laws... Anyway, the gun owner may be charged.

Sumter gun owner may be charged after accidental shooting of 14-year-old

Next up we have a charming story of a building inspector shooting himself in the bathroom stall at City Hall . Because whenever I need to lunch a fudge missile, I need my heater with me.

Next: Nothing says love like a shotgun blast to your girlfriend's chest . Accidentally, of course.

Moving right along, a responsible gun owner with an AR15 kills a 16-year-old while showing off his FREEDOM! LIBERTY! toy. Accidentally, of course.

Next contestant is a 10-year-old killed in the presence of a 9-year-old , under the supervision of a 14-year-old. **** happens, folks. The price of freedom, dontchaknow.

This next corpse comes from some serious zombie training . Because prepping for a zombie future is serious business.

This one is my personal favorite, because it echoes what I've been preaching about MANDATORY (oh noes!!1!! evil gubment will come get yer gunz!!1!!). Too bad a 14-year-old had to die first .

Quote:

Noah’s death, like thousands of other American children’s deaths, didn’t have to happen. It could very easily have been prevented with common sense gun safety and safe gun storage laws and practices by gun owners.

Now we have a shooting at Arlington National Cemetery . Everyone knows Arlington is a high-crime cemetery, especially on Memorial Day, so packing heat here only makes sense. Oh, it was accidental, of course.

Here's an 11-year-old shot by a 4-year-old relative . If only there were more guns! That 11-year-old had no business being unarmed! Oh, guess what? This was accidental too. Gee, if there were some way to guarantee guns were secured, out of the reach of children...Nah, that involves pissing on the Constitution; can't have that!

Here's a 'guns around the holidays' story. Surprise! The shooter now feels a lifetime of remorse. Accidental, of course.

Unintentional Shooting Kills Friend, Torments Shooter: 'Why Did I Pick Up The Gun?'

From the "my uncle's gun!" file we find this story of a 3-year-old dead . Florida, though. Florida loves them some guns!

This one's a classic. A 2-year-old girl was killed when her 5-year-old brother accidentally shot her with a .22-caliber rifle. Someone...GASP!...asks the hard question:

Cumberland County, Kentucky, Shooting May Show Gun Culture 'Natural Consequence'

This one sucks: Authorities in southern Kentucky say a 2-year-old girl has been accidentally shot and killed by her 5-year-old brother.

And it's always important to teach your spouse safe gun handling. Right? NOTE: Gunnutters will love this one because they can cry "ALCOHOL!!1!"

Michele Wanko Accidentally Kills Husband During Drunk Gun Lesson In Pennsylvania

Ah, hunting. A national pastime! A Nebraska father accidentally shot his son in the head while pheasant hunting in Iowa.

And to end this on a happy note, cops say 18-year-old Michael Smeriglio, of Florida, accidentally shot him self through his penis and his testicles .

So, gunnutters, anyone want to come in and own any of this?

More proof clowns are evil

Go ahead accuse me of confirmation bias.

Clowns are evil I say!

Norfolk police warn of alarming clown epidemic

The Guardian (UK)

Think about it. The prevalence of clowns officially characterized as an "epidemic". About time this menace was recognized.

Quote:

...

Superintendent Carl Edwards said no one had been injured or assaulted. He added that it seemed whoever was behind the makeup was probably trying to shock people and it was best not to give them the attention.

Officers would patrol areas where the reports had been made and, if they found any clowns, they would "offer them strong words of advice", he said. "Firstly I'd like to stress that it isn't against the law to dress up as a clown.

...

... Wait a minute ...

Pussies!
