Mineral...can remove CO2 pollution from atmosphere

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/s...-a8491746.html

If I understand, the mineral, magnesite, normally takes hundreds to thousands of years to create. But a new(?) process has reduced this to 72 days.

The article doesn't say how much they made, but since there is an estimated 3200 gigatons of CO2 in the atmosphere and 1 ton of magnesite can absorb about 1/2 ton of CO2, that's a lot of magnesite that needs to be created.

Apparently the only part of this which is really news, is the process they have invented to create the magnesite at low temperature.
