Looks like a major clean coal R&D project in Mississippi is abandoning the coal portion of its activities:

Apparently heavily over budget and still doesn't work properly. The plant isn't a complete waste since it will continue operating using natural gas, but it seems that this was supposed to be a flagship project for clean coal of the syngas variety. Unsuccessful.
