Work Place Abuse

I'm not sure this is the right section for this, but if it isn't, then feel free to relocate the thread.



How many of you have experienced the subtle kind of work place abuse such as retaliatory supervisors, unrealistic, or dangerous expectations for performance? I just recently went through a reorganization in the public health sector. Our region was one of the worst performers prior to the reorganization. As a program manager and a provider I have a real clear understanding of what can realistically be achieved. Since our reorganization, it seems like the employees from the badly performing region are being targeted. How many have gone through this and other than finding a new job how did you deal with it?



In the current reorganization, information is closely guarded, there is no open door policy, and you are not allowed to directly ask middle management any questions or point out flaws in any processes. People are leaving in droves because if they point out any problems suddenly they start getting written up for things that are confabulated.
