Violence linked to climate change. Is this correlation != causation / junk science

Shifts in climate are strongly linked to increases in violence around the world, a study suggests.

US scientists found that even small changes in temperature or rainfall correlated with a rise in assaults, rapes and murders, as well as group conflicts and war.

Is this junk science, or perhaps the opposite, just saying the obvious.

I seem to remember there supposedly being more violence, when the moon is full. The police would be on alert those nights. But that would seem to be just because there is more light when the moon is full.

Obviously there is more violence during the day than at night. So when night is more similar to day (during the full moon)... well, you get the picture.
