How did this division arise in the first place? And what would be the appropriate relationship between the sciences and the humanities?



I'm curious, which side are historians generally on? History is often considered a humanities subject, but I have a hard time imagining historians supporting postmodernism and the like. Especially with things like Holocaust denial around.
