Yesterday, our church (Salem First Baptist) held their annual church picnic at a local park.
On the way there, we were at a stop light, waiting to turn left into the park when our church's Senior Pastor drove through the intersection (on the cross street), on his bright orange motorcycle (which he drives everywhere).
The picnic was very enjoyable.
At home that afternoon, I sent the following email to the Pastoral staff (including the Senior Pastor):
Today I received the following reply from the Senior Pastor (he CC'd the rest of the pastors):
Ya gotta love the guy!

Pastors: Regarding the picnic: We enjoyed the service and all immensely. Our thanks and congrats to all who had a hand in the planning, organization and realization of the day. The only bad part about the day is the fact that I did not have the presence of mind to note the license plate of the madman on an orange motorcycle who cut us off as we entered the park. I think I have seen that motorcycle at St. Stevens Episcopal church. I will check into it for you. |
