It is often claimed that religious people are happier than atheists. One can (as many atheists do) legitimately respond that the truth value of atheism has nothing to do with whether it makes you sad or happy. However, one can also, like Richard Carrier did, digg deeper into those studies and see what they actually say. There is quite a lot of text there, but the essence is this:
