Can a blender destroy vitamins and such?

I've been making a lot of smoothies recently.



I was wondering if the process of blending changes the nutritional value, by for instance destroying the fibres or vitamins?



I mean, I've seen the 'will it blend'-guy turn an iPhone into grey powder. Not anything is possible. :)
